It’s Not Too Late to Start Feeding
Continuing to feed Altosid® IGR or ClariFly® Larvicide throughout the season plays a critical role in reducing overwintering pupae and setting your operation up for success in the spring. When fly populations are left unchecked, they can rapidly multiply and impact cattle comfort, feed efficiency and overall productivity.
The 30/30 program helps producers stay ahead of fly pressure by accounting for unpredictable weather patterns. By starting feed-through fly control 30 days before flies typically appear and continuing through 30 days after the first frost, producers can significantly reduce the number of flies that survive into the next season.
Feed-throughs work by interrupting the fly life cycle in manure, preventing larvae from developing into biting, disease-spreading adults. When used as part of a broader integrated pest management program, they offer a simple, effective way to protect herd health and performance.
